This advanced ultrasonic humidifier can supply warm and cool mist to a room and unlike other ultrasonic units has an anti-dust demineralisation feature.

The major drawback of using ultrasonic humidifiers is that the minerals in the water fall out into an atmoshpere when the water evaporates. This causes large amounts of dust to build-up in the room being humidified. However, this Boneco humidifier incorporates a demineralisation cartridge to treat the water prior to release in order to prevent this from happening. The cartridge requires replacing evry 3 months and costs £18.80 inc vat & delivery.

The unit works by using high frequency vibrations to turn the water into a micro-fine mist which is blown into a room by a fan, where it immediately evaporates. These types of humidifiers consume very little energy.

Low sound levels - it is ideal for use in bedrooms as it is very quiet at just <25dB(A).

The Boneco has a digital display that shows the current room humidity level and allows you to set your desired relative humidity. An internal hygrostat will then control the unit's output accordingly. A timer feature enables the user to automatically turn the humidifier off after one to six hours.

The water released into a room can either be cool or warm. The water can be pre-heated within the unit up to 80 degrees C helping to eliminate bacteria and viruses. When it is released into the room it is still a comfortable 40 degrees C so it will not cause the ambient room temperature to decrease.

In addition to the high temperature helping to purify the water, the ultrasonic vibrations also destroy bacteria and viruses.

Mist emission can be regulated with three levels of output. Alternatively automatic operation is made possible via the Auto / Sleep functions.

Set to Auto the humidifier will maintain the optimum humidity depending on the temperature of the room. A cool room will feel more comfortable at a higher humidity and likewise a hot room will feel more agreeable at a lower humidity. Set to Auto the humidifier will automatically adjust its output to maintain the most comfortable humidity depending on the ambient temperature of the room.

The Sleep mode will automatically set the desired humidity to 60% and activate the timer to turn the unit off in 8 hours time. In addition the mist emission quantity is regulated depending on the difference between the desired humidity and the current humidity level.

This is by far the most advanced domestic ultrasonic humidifier available in the UK. It combines many special features to make it easy to use, very efficient, cheap to run and maintain, as well as providing excellent and responsive control over humidity levels.

Simply add a sachet of CalcOff to one litre of water and pour it into your empty humidifier and in half an hour it will have dissolved all the limescale that builds-up during normal operation.

Each box contains three sachets.

Before cleaning all evaporator mats, demineralisation cartridges and Ionic Silver Sticks should be removed. The powder from one sachet should be stirred into one litre of hot water. The liquid should then be added to the water tank and allowed to take effect for 30 minutes. After the limescale has been disolved, the humidifier should be thoroughly rinsed out.

For effective cleaning & purification of humidifiers' water tanks

Use these tablets to make a chlorine solution for cleaning out a humidifier's water tank, leaving it clean and bacteria free ready for re-filling.
These tablets can be used for all humidifiers including the Air-O-Swiss (Vaporiser, Room, Home, Combi and air washer), Turmix LB400, Boneco 2055, JS Misitifer, HumEvap and HumiPac.
Always use appropriate protective equipment i.e. gloves, goggles and an apron. Add the tablets to water to make a chlorine solution and pour into the humidifier tank and allow to stand for 10 minutes, empty the contents and wipe around the tank with a cloth. Always rinse the tank thoroughly with fresh water before re-filling the tank.

The number of tablets required depends on how many litres the tank holds –

1-5L – One tablet
5-10L – Two tablets
20L – Four tablets
30L – Six tablets

Silver ions are effective against more than 650 types of microbe. Fitting an Ionic Silver Stick to your water tank in your humidifier can help control the development of bacteria and fungi, reducing unpleasant odours and the frequency of cleaning. Designed for portable and mobile evaporative humidifiers with water tanks, these sticks contain no chemical additives, are self-regulating, need no power supply and are simple to install and use.

For guidance, for a humidifier with a fresh mains water supply operating in a clean, cool environment, one stick is effective in humidifier reservoirs up to 10 litres. Multiple sticks can be used in larger appliances, so if your humidifier has a 20 litre reservoir, use two. More sticks might be required where conditions favour the development of microbes such as warmth. Ionic Silver Sticks must be used in conjunction with the humidifier manufacturer's operating and maintenance instructions.
